The rapid advancement in digital technologies and smart devices, screen time has become a prevalent issue in children. Although digital media have educational and entertainment value, screen over-use has emerged as a significant issue with negative impacts on children's physical, cognitive and social development. Existing parental control methods involve manual monitoring and fixed limits, which do not consider specific user patternsandagevariations.Inthisstudy,wepresentanAI-drivenagedetectionandscreen time dynamic control system for improving child safety. It employs computer vision and deep learning methods to automatically classify the user's age category from facial images and adapt screen time restrictions and content filters based on the user's age. The system, which combines real-time monitoring, intelligent decision-making and adaptive control, enablesadaptivecontrolpoliciesfordeviceusage.Theexperimentsshowthatthesystemis effective in curbing excessive screen time while providing convenience and enhancing digital safety for children.
