Abstract

The contemporary business landscape is characterized by unprecedented levels of uncertainty driven by rapid technological advancement, global economic volatility, geopolitical instability, climate change, and evolving consumer expectations. Traditional forecasting and decision-making approaches, which largely rely on historical trends and managerial intuition, are increasingly inadequate for navigating such complexity. Business analytics (BA) has emerged as a transformative capability that enables organizations to convert vast volumes of data into actionable insights, thereby enhancing strategic decision-making under uncertainty. This paper critically examines the role of business analytics in mitigating future business uncertainties by integrating descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytical approaches. It explores key analytical tools and techniques, evaluates organizational benefits and challenges, and discusses strategic implications for future business resilience. Furthermore, the paper identifies emerging research directions, particularly the role of artificial intelligence–driven predictive analytics in enhancing organizational resilience. By synthesizing existing literature and real-world applications, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how business analytics can serve as a foundational pillar for adaptive and resilient organizational strategies in uncertain environments.
